  • Venezuela Aid Live is an initiative that has one main purpose: to bring the world together in support of Venezuela and its people.
  • The event will take place on February 22, in Cucuta, Colombia, which is located right on the border between Colombia and Venezuela.
  • The three basic goals of the event are to create awareness of the current situation, to reopen the Venezuelan borders in order to get the humanitarian aid in, and to obtain enough funds to design and carry out a sustainable social investment that will benefit Venezuela and help bring it and its people back.
  • Venezuela Aid Live is lead by Richard Branson and Bruno Ocampo, with the support of several renowned artists, entrepreneurs and volunteers, who have worked tirelessly in order to make a difference.

The production is being led by Árbol Naranja, of which Luis Burgos is in charge. Árbol Naranja is a platform at the service of the entertainment industry, ready to satisfy the needs of musicians, promoters, entrepreneurs, agencies and brands. It offers services from production events, backline, recording studios and rehearsal rooms, to 360 management for artists. It has access to professional human resources, tools and locations in order to provide the best musical and technical support.

The proceeds will be destined towards humanitarian aid, through a sustainable social investment for Venezuela. The funds will be collected throughout the expanse of two months, during which research will be carried out in order to determine the main needs an the best destination for this aid.

The nonprofit “Solidaridad for Colombia” (Solidarity for Colombia) is the strategic ally who will provide support with the process of raising the funds. This NGO has 44 years of experience in the management of resources collected for vulnerable population. PwC is the auditor who will be in charge of ensuring transparency in the handling of the resources. “Solidaridad por Colombia” is a nonprofit that promotes the wholesome development of family, through education in values, and by developing innovative social strategies of nutrition-education, community and aid to communities affected by natural disasters. More than 804.000 Colombians in need, of all ages, have found new opportunities, and have improved their quality of life thanks to the social programs developed by the nonprofit, based on its 5 lines of action: Recovery and Rebuilding Communities, Primary and Higher Education, Nutrition and Healthy Lifestyle, Social and Community Innovation and Mobilization and Impact.
